As the time without electricity, for some, turns from hours into days, many are wondering when the lights will be back on. The News On 6's Ashli Sims reports the Red Cross opened a third shelter in Tulsa after two others filled up.

The third shelter is at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church at 8730 E. Skelly Drive. Those seeking shelter are urged to call 211 before they go there to make sure space is available. The Red Cross shelters do not accept pets. Some pet owners have arranged for their pets to be boarded with their vets.

Another concern for some has been gasoline. Long lines formed around many gas pumps on Tuesday. QuikTrip says there is no supply shortage of gasoline, but you may still have to wait in line. Residents are advised to fill up before heading out of town.

The Oklahoma Turnpike Authority says fuel services are very limited on both the Turner and Will Rogers. Also diesel supplies are running short. Many stations are out. A QuikTrip spokesperson says that situation should be resolved soon.

Those who do not have electricity are also finding themselves cut-off from communication; in that, they cannot charge their cell phones. U.S. Cellular is offering free local and long distance calls and a place for people to charge their cell phones at their store near 41st and Sheridan.

Meanwhile, residents are also faced with questions about where to go with downed tree limbs. Cities will soon announce dump sites. They warn it may be weeks before city crews will be able pick up debris at the curb.

Tulsa residents are encouraged to call the Mayor's Action Line at 596-2100 to report limbs in their front yard or on their street. Limbs in backyards are the responsibility of the homeowner.
