OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of people killed in traffic accidents in Oklahoma this year remains below 2006 numbers.   The state Department of Public Safety says 703 people have died in auto accidents through Wednesday morning. That's down by 39 from the 742 fatalities at the same point in 2006.

DPS says 42 people have been killed in car crashes so far in December and that's a decline of 13 from 55 fatalities at this point in December last year.
