OSU fans began their New Year's celebration early.  Many filed into bars across Tulsa to watch the Cowboys take on the Indiana Hoosiers.  The News On 6's Chris Wright reports the OSU fans at the Fox and the Hound certainly had a good time watching the Pokes cruise to victory.  Many say it was the perfect way to kick off New Year's Eve.

The drinks began flowing early at the Fox and Hound Pub and Grill.  Despite the relatively early five o'clock kickoff, the bar was full of orange clad fans.

"We're having a lot of fun being around a lot of other OSU fans," said Anna Kern.

Some could definitely feel the energy.

"You get the energy in the room, the enthusiasm, yeah it's fun to watch the game with fellow fans," said Nathan Hamilton.

Although some might disagree, there was plenty of orange on display to back up that statement.  The Insight Bowl was originally supposed to be broadcast only the NFL Network, a channel many fans don't have at home.  While Cox Cable ended up showing the game as well, many of the Pokes faithful had been planning to rendezvous at the bar for a while.

"You have to come to the bar.  You can't watch it at home, who has it?  You're forced to come out, it's worth it though, you get to get out, see some people, drink some beer," said Ben Szela.

The Fox and the Hound certainly didn't mind the confusion, saying the game made for an excellent start to a busy night.

"It's great for the bar.  It kicks off New Year's a little early tonight, which makes our job all that more important because we've got to serve responsibly," said Brad Ernest with Fox and the Hound.

And win or lose, the OSU faithful were determined to have a good time.

"I don't know what's worse.  If we win, we drink in celebration. If we lose, we drink in depression," said Szela.
