Overnight Accidents Injure One Person

Police were busy overnight investigating several accidents, including one in which a otorist had to use his cell phone to get emergency crews to his location.

Tulsa Police are investigating an accident on I-244 that left two vehicles smashed up overnight. Police officers say an unidentified driver hit an abandoned vehicle on the inside shoulder in the 5500 block of east I-244.

Police say the driver got out his vehicle and ran off leaving the car in the roadway. It does not appear anyone was hurt.

And a man is taken to a Tulsa hospital overnight after he crashes his car west of Sand Springs and his cell phone is what helped rescuers find him.

Sand Springs Police say the man was on U.S. Highway 412 near the Keystone Dam when he lost control and went airborne. His vehicle wound up in some nearby brush.

Police say the man had his cell phone with him and he was able to guide rescuers to where he was. The man broke one of his ankles but will be okay.
