Nation's drug czar praises state's meth law

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The nation's drug czar visits Oklahoma and praises state leaders for their efforts to combat the availability of methamphetamine.

Office of National Drug Control Policy Director John Walters says the federal government is hoping to mirror Oklahoma's success in cracking down on meth laboratories.

Oklahoma was one of the first states in the nation to require pharmacies to restrict the sale of medicines containing pseudoephedrine, a key ingredient in meth.
