Tulsa mayoral debate held

Updated:
The candidates for Tulsa mayor square off in their first debate of Campaign 2006 Thursday night.

Tulsa's Young Professionals hosted the debate between incumbent Mayor Bill LaFortune and rival Kathy Taylor. Both candidates shared their vision for Tulsa's future and sold themselves on why they're right for the job.

Kathy Taylor: "I've had a business career where I've built teams, where I've managed companies, I've managed budgets, and I know what it takes to get results.”

Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune: "Where are we today? Full economic recovery. The best economic and job growth in a decade. I led Tulsa through one of the worst economic situations it’s ever had.”

Voters get the final say. The election is April 4th.
