HAILEYVILLE, Okla. (AP) _ A Haileyville woman is killed after a head-on crash along US Highway 270 in Pittsburg County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 38-year-old Elizabeth Scott was pronounced dead at the scene of yesterday's crash, which happened about 5 pm.

The patrol says Scott was eastbound on 270 when she went left of center and slammed into a car driven by 49-year-old Matthew Morgan of Hartshorne. Morgan was transported to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition.

The driver of a third vehicle involved in the crash wasn't injured.

The patrol says Scott was not wearing her seat belt and that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
