A single car accident shuts down a Tulsa highway overnight.

The accident happened at US Highway 169 near 71st Street. Tulsa Police say a woman was going south, when she hit the inside wall then the outside wall.

The southbound lanes were shut down for about 40 minutes while the driver was removed from the car and the mess cleaned up.

The woman is hospitalized, we don't have her condition.

Alcohol may have played a role in the accident.
