Ambulance services in Muskogee say it's been more than five months since the last of the Hurricane Katrina evacuees left Camp Gruber and they still haven't been paid for their services.
They say more than $290,000 is still owed to several agencies across Green Country. An emergency management spokesman says there has been some difficulty in distributing the FEMA-approved funds, but the department hopes to get the reimbursements out soon.
Muskogee County EMS says its owed $230,000 alone, and Tulsa's EMS has submitted a $37,000 claim.
