Overnight housefire in Okmulgee County injures two people

Two people are hospitalized when their home goes up in flames overnight.

The call went out shortly after 12AM Tuesday at a home near Highway 16 and Highway 75 in Okmulgee County.

Crews from Twin Hills and Beggs helped fight the fire.

A man and woman were injured in the fire. They were both taken by air ambulance to Hillcrest Medical Center. The man is said to be critical. Three other people including a child got out safely.

Officials say the damage to the home from the fire is extensive. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
