PURCELL, Okla. (AP) -- A company says it's produced cloned foals from two top cutting horses for customers who want duplicates of their performance animals.

ViaGen of Austin, Texas, says a mare named Royal Blue Boon at a ranch near Purcell, Oklahoma, delivered a foal on February 19th.

Royal Blue Boon has won more than 380-thousand dollars in cutting competitions and has 16 colts that have combined to win $2.5-million more.

The horse is owned by Elaine Hall of Weatherford, Texas, and she says the young cloned horse won't be trained for show, but will be used for breeding.
