You may not know the name of a Skiatook High School senior right now, but there's a very good chance that one day you'll see his name in lights. He's one of only a handful of students selected to the most prestigious music schools in the world.

News on 6 anchor Craig Day says you'll want to hear this incredible talent.

This is the time of year when many high school seniors plan their futures. Skiatook student Josh Seals found out a couple of days ago, he's going where he's always wanted to go. "Total excitement."

Josh’s vocal music teacher at Skiatook High School Ginger Meyer: "I knew he had the potential to do this and of course we were so excited."

Josh Seals: "Very excited. Not many people get to live their dream, but I'm doing it." Josh will be living his dream, because the 18 year old baritone was accepted to The Julliard School of Music in New York. It's considered to be one of if not, the most prestigious music school in the world.

Only ten students were selected worldwide to study vocal music at Julliard. Josh’s mom Debbie Seals: "I'm real proud of him and this is his dream and you've got to let them pursue their dreams."

Seals credits his success to supportive parents, voice trainers and teachers, and to the community. He'll begin vocal music performance classes this fall. Until then, he's performing in Skiatook High's musical. Josh’s father Gary Seals: “In the community, everybody has supported him and so it's been a fantastic experience for all of us and he's excited. He's ready to go to New York."

Josh's teachers say he's been blessed with incredible natural talent, but there also isn't anyone who works harder. Josh Seals: "The thing I love is hearing the audiences reaction afterwards and how I've touched them in simple ways."

Ginger Meyer: "His voice is a mixture between Josh Groban and Luciano Pavarotti. I think he's got the power and something that is so unique and wonderful. I think we're going to see a famous person here."

Seals ultimately hopes to perform on stage with the New York Metroplitan Opera.
