OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A vineyard in Drumright is offering investors a chance to invest in the wine business without having to buy land or equipment or hire employees.

Gary Schroeder is the president and chief executive of Tidal School Vineyards. He says his idea of what he calls a virtual winery has attracted nine investors and has a waiting list for the next group of wines the vineyard produces.

Similar business setups are somewhat common in California and Schroeder thinks that will happen in Oklahoma as well.

Schroeder says investors are enjoying a return of almost 20 percent, based on the gross revenues from the sale of wine.

Among the wines featured by the vineyard are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel and Chardonnay.
