State employees to picket state Capitol for pay raise

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- State employees will picket at the state Capitol three days this week in their call for pay raises.

The Oklahoma Public Employees Association will hold the pickets Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at the entrances to the state House and Senate.

The OPEA says state employees have had just one pay raise in six years and the union is calling for an 8 percent pay increase this year.
