There is a new hospital in town, but this one's not for people. It's for animal at the Tulsa Zoo.

The zoo hospital officially opened Wednesday with a big ribbon cutting ceremony. This new facility is state of the art, with digital Xrays machines and everything the zoo needs to keep their animals healthy.

Stephen Walker with the Tulsa Zoo "it's a far step above our old facility that was built in the seventies which was more like an outpatient clinic where this is more of a full fledged hospital for our animal collection here."

The new animal hospital is funded by both public and private money from the city of Tulsa and the Tulsa Zoo Friends.
