Construction Begins On Hillcrest Heart Pavilion In Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Hillcrest Medical Center broke ground Thursday on a 104-bed, $60-million cardiac-care center that is to be completed in 2008.

The 160,000-square-foot, six-story Hillcrest Heart Pavilion will have all private rooms and let Hillcrest concentrate most of the its cardiac services in one building, said Steve Dobbs, Hillcrest Medical Center's CEO.

The Hillcrest Heart Pavilion will include cardiac inpatient and outpatient services. It was designed by WHR Architects Inc. of Houston and will span Trenton Avenue to connect to the main hospital, Dobbs said.
