RUIDOSO DOWNS, N.M. (AP) _ The quarter horse that won the Remington Park Futurity in April blazes down a New Mexico track.

First Prize Robin, a 2-year-old filly trained by Oklahoma trainer Jack Brooks, raced yesterday to an impressive win at Ruidoso Downs in the trials for the 500-thousand-dollar Ruidoso Futurity on June 11th.

First Prize Robin posted the top qualifying time of 17-point-696 seconds for 350 yards and won her third straight race for Tulsa-based owners Lloyd Scherwinski and Ed Smith.

Brooks also got a second entry into the 10-horse futurity field with Voghts Gold. Oklahoma-bred Okey Dokey Fantasy had the second-fastest time in the trials and also advances to the futurity.
