Arkansas man wins Bassmaster event wire-to-wire

GROVE, Okla. (AP) _ Mike McClelland of Bella Vista, Arkansas, completes a wire-to-wire win in the Bassmaster Elite Series' Sooner Run on Grand Lake.

The 38-year-old McClelland caught 14 pounds, 8 ounces Sunday, increasing his four-day total to 79 pounds, 7 ounces. He far outdistanced second-place Matt Reed of Madisonville, Texas, who finished with 63 pounds, 14 ounces.

McClelland earned $100,000 for the win.

Reed maintained his second-place standing by catching 10 pounds, 14 ounces Sunday.

Greg Gutierrez of Red Bluff, California, finished third with a four-day total of 63 pounds. Edwin Evers of Talala, Oklahoma, finished fourth at 57 pounds, 7 ounces.
