Julie Carson Sworn In As Higher Ed Regent

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The wife of former Congressman Brad Carson was sworn in Monday as the newest member of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education.

Julie Carson of Claremore replaces Newkirk businessman Ike Glass whose term has expired.

Carson's term expires in May 2015.

She's a graduate of Jenks High School and earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Vanderbilt and has a law degree from the University of Tulsa.
