For weeks, the trucks rolled in and out of Tulsa's Centennial Park almost non-stop. Then, things came to an abrupt halt. The company doing the landscaping went bankrupt, but the project isn't over.

The project was bonded. So, the search is on for a new contractor who can pick up where they left off.

Greg Warren with Tulsa Parks has been planning the park for 15 years. He says it will be the crown jewel of the Tulsa Parks system, rivaling Swan Lake or Woodward Park. He says there really isn't that much work left, but it's the work that will look the most dramatic. “We're probably 90 percent finished, unfortunately the icing on the cake has yet to be done, which is putting the sod down and cleaning it up and doing all the little things."

Warren says it will probably take about a month to find a new contractor, then two or three months to finish the park.
