OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Health advocates say Oklahoma should expand its anti-smoking law to cover all indoor workplaces and public buildings.

Surgeon General Richard Carmona's released a report Tuesday that said there is no longer any scientific debate that secondhand smoke causes heart disease, lung cancer, respiratory diseases and other health problems.

Pat Marshall of the American Cancer Society says many Oklahoma workers face health risks under a 2003 state law that allows smoking in bars, veterans halls and separately ventilated rooms in restaurants.

Jim Hopper of the Oklahoma Restaurant Association says changing state law under guidelines proposed by the health advocates would be unfair.
