McALESTER, Okla. (AP) -- The McAlester Housing Authority is being investigated by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation and the federal Office of the Inspector General.

OSBI Inspector Tommy Graham says investigators have been examining financial records related to the housing authority.

McAlester Housing Authority Executive Director Joy Hollaway said the investigation spans from 2000 to the present.

Hollaway says the federally funded housing authority has 13 employees and had approximately $600,000 in operational funds and about $300,000 in capital funds in its budget for the most recent fiscal year.
