Marine Hopefuls Meet With Tragedy

Funeral services will be held Wednesday for an Owasso teenager killed in an accident over the weekend in Washington County.

19-year-old Michael Phillips was killed when the car he was in was slammed from behind. Michael and three friends were on their way to Bartlesville for a Marine recruiting event.

18-year-old Samuel Richards was injured in the accident. His father says his son wants to be a Marine more than ever. Samuel’s father, Jimmy Richards: "Sam's doing great. He's got some head injuries that we're still watching closely, but other than that, he's going to have a full recovery looks like."

18-year-old Kail Beougher of Owasso has been released from St. John. 17-year-old Matthew Jaramillo of Owasso is reportedly in fair condition at a Bartlesville hospital.
