Alligator Sighting In Broken Arrow

Updated:
There's still no sign of an alligator that's on the prowl in Broken Arrow. The 4 foot gator was spotted in a retention pond in the 800 block of West Fargo.

Some tracks were confirmed on the banks. A man working nearby saw the alligator in the water, and almost didn't believe it. Tom Chatterton: "Up floats this small alligator and I was going its real, it's not a log or stick or a turtle, it's got four legs and feet a tail and a snout."

Authorities say since alligators aren't common here, it's likely a pet someone dumped.

They say it's probably not dangerous, but they've posted warning signs and will try to catch it if it's spotted again.
