Wichita Texas League team moving to NW Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) _ Changes are reportedly on the way in the Texas League.

A former Wichita Wranglers spokesman says the team's staff is being told the Wranglers will move to Springdale, Arkansas.

Randall Kamm tells an Arkansas newspaper he resigned as Wranglers spokesman after a meeting in which the move was announced.

The Wranglers have reportedly been negotiating with Springdale-area officials since voters there approved a bond issue earlier this month to build a six-thousand-seat ballpark for a minor-league team.

The Wranglers are a farm team of the Kansas City Royals and are owned by Bob and Mindy Rich of Buffalo, New York.
