OU player dismissed for team rule violation

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Walk-on Jermaine Hardison has been dismissed from Oklahoma's football team after violating team rules.

OU spokesman Kenny Mossman said that Hardison, a 6-foot-3 junior from Midwest City High School, wasn't on scholarship.

Mossman didn't elaborate on which rules were violated.

Hardison had never played in a game at OU. He was listed as a wide receiver on the Sooners' roster.
