The Grand River Dam Authority Lake Patrol says it has recovered the body of a Georgia man who has been missing since being knocked overboard into Grand Lake in July.
GRDA says the body of 35-year-old Murray McGarvey of Georgia was recovered Monday morning near the Drowning Creek arm of Grand Lake. His body has been turned over to the state medical examiner's office.
McGarvey was reported missing after a July 30th boating accident. GRDA says McGarvey was a passenger on a boat, which was struck by another boat. Another passenger on that same boat, Jason Bandy of Tulsa, was injured in the collision.
GRDA officials say the operator of the other boat left the scene. He was identified as John Special of Stillwater. An investigation into the accident continues.
