Oklahoma's ACT Scores Show Slight Increase

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- High school students in Oklahoma scored slightly higher on the ACT this year but are still below the national average.

Oklahoma students scored an average of 20.5 on the college entrance exam -- up one-tenth of a point from 20.4 last year.

The national average is 21.1, up from 20.9 in 2005.

The ACT is the predominant college entrance exam in 25 states, including Oklahoma. A perfect score on the test is 36.
