OSU Cowboys expect new talent will lead to improvement

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) The 1st down chains don't seem as menacing anymore for Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Larry Fedora.

An influx of talent has Fedora and the Cowboys thinking about increasing their production and making their stay in the Big 12 South cellar a brief one.

Transfer Adarius Bowman from North Carolina is eligible at receiver after sitting out last season.

OSU also has high hopes for tailbacks Dantrell Savage and Keith Toston, who saw extra time in early fall practices when starter Mike Hamilton nursed a minor hamstring injury.

A shoulder injury kept quarterback Bobby Reid him off the field in 2004, then a freak dislocation of his toes contributed to a disappointing 2005.

Reid says he's now healthy.

OSU ranked last in the Big 12 in most passing categories last season.

David Koenig will move from left guard to left tackle to secure the end of the line opposite Corey Hilliard.

Junior Donovan Woods is the senior member of the secondary after moving from quarterback.
