Every school student has wondered how classroom lessons translate to real life. Thursday, students at Liberty Mounds got an answer as "Team Thunder" rolled into their school.

Two instructors-turned-drag racers introduced real world math, science and technology in the classroom, using a real world dragster.

Sam Parton, Team Thunder president: "This is a very unusual, what I call long and loud visual aid and we use it to capture the kids attention and drive home the importance of education."

The program also touches on drug use and bullying and ends with the start up of the 5,000 horse-power engine.
