University of Arkansas freshman from Owasso found dead in dorm

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- An Oklahoma teenager has been found dead in his dorm room at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

18-year-old freshman Aron Morgan of Owasso was found dead in his bed Sunday. University police say they were called by Morgan's roommate.

A coroner says it appears Morgan died in his sleep and police are interviewing friends to determine what he was doing before his death.

Morgan was chemical engineering major and a Chancellor's Scholar at UA. He graduated a semester early from Owasso High School and attended Tulsa Community College.

Owasso High School Principal Stan Trout says Morgan was quiet and a hard worker.

The body was sent to the state Medical Examiner's Office in Little Rock for an autopsy and a preliminary cause of death is expected later this week.
