West Tulsa standoff ends with an arrest

Tulsa Police have a 25-year-old Tulsa man in custody after a three-hour standoff Wednesday afternoon.

They say the man threatened to hurt family members and himself before he locked himself inside his west Tulsa computer repair store, where they say he had access to guns.

Nobody else was in the store located near 41st and Southwest Boulevard. Three nearby schools were on lockdown during the standoff.

Tulsa Police negotiated with the man by telephone and eventually fired tear gas into the building. He surrendered by walking out of the business with his hands high in the air.
