Moore Police looking for man who threatened student with gun

MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- Moore police are looking for a man who threatened an elementary school student with a gun.

Officers say the 9-year-old student entered a bathroom Wednesday and was confronted by a man holding a handgun. The student says the man pointed the gun at him, told him to get out of the way then ran from the bathroom and out the north side of the building.

The student told a teacher, who then notified police.

Officers say they were unable to find the man inside the school or in the immediate area.

They described the suspect as being a white male with dark, shoulder-length hair who is in his middle 20s and was wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police say they will assign an officer to Central Elementary as a safety precaution.
