Tattoo protest at the state capitol

Oklahoma is the only state in the U-S where it's illegal to give a tattoo.

Tattoo artists and advocates are hoping that will soon change. They staged a protest at the state capitol on Monday, gave tattoos and explained their stance to anyone who would listen. The law defines an illegal tattoo as "a permanent indelible mark."

Tattoo artists say since tattoos can be removed with modern technology, what they're doing, is perfectly legal.

A bill to legalize tattoos passed through the state Senate last session, but it stalled in committee.
