OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Paul Pierce scores 28 points and grabs 12 rebounds to lead the Boston Celtics to a 101-to-87 win over the New Orleans Hornets.
Ricky Davis added 26 points for the Celtics last night, and Mark Blount tied a season high with 19 points off the bench.
Leading by 11 points at halftime, the Celtics pulled away in the third quarter with an 11-to-4 run started by Pierce's free throw after a technical foul.
David West cut the deficit to 83-to-73 with his jumper to start the fourth quarter, but New Orleans never got closer.
West led New Orleans with 29 points and Chris Paul added 16 points and 10 rebounds.
