Traffic accident on the Will Rogers Turnpike sends several people to area hospitals

Three people are hospitalized following a two vehicle accident that shut down part of the Will Rogers Turnpike Friday morning.

Authorities say around 6:30 AM, the driver of a Jeep going eastbound overturned and stopped in the middle of the turnpike.

A second vehicle with two people didn't see the Jeep and hit it. They were taken by ground ambulance to area hospitals. Their conditions are not known at this time.

The driver of the Jeep was taken by air ambulance to a Tulsa hospital. His name has not been released.
