One person is dead following an early Tuesday morning two car collision on a Rogers County highway.

Officials say it happened around 4:30 AM Tuesday about two miles north of the Port of Catoosa on Highway 266.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the driver of a Camaro was traveling eastbound when he lost control and ended up coming to a stop in the middle of the road. An eastbound minivan then slammed into the Camaro.

Troopers say driver of the Camaro died at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver of the minivan was transported to a Tulsa hospital. No word on that driver's condition.

Troopers confirm Tuesday morning's snowy weather played a role in causing the accident.
