The mother of a baby born with fetal alcohol syndrome has gone to court and waived her right to a jury trial in Washington County.

37-year-old Melissa Tanner of Dewey returns to court February 14th for a possible plea on a charge of child neglect. Prosecutors charged Tanner in July after her daughter was born with signs of fetal alcohol syndrome.

She was also charged with public intoxication in November.
