DALLAS (AP) _ Oklahoma coach Sherri Coale was named the league's coach of the year today. Her Sooners became the first women's team to go undefeated in Big 12 play.
Coale also won the award in 2000 and 2001, and has a 199-and-112 record with the Sooners.
Sooners freshman center Courtney Paris was named the Big 12 freshman of the year and shared the defensive player of the year award with Abiola Wabara of Baylor.
Baylor's Sophia Young was named the league's player of the year.
