Oklahoma one of five states to campaign for seat belt safety in pickups

LITTLE ROCK (AP) -- Oklahoma is one of five states participating in a campaign to convince pickup truck drivers to buckle their seat belts.

A two-week public relations campaign called "Buckle Up in Your Truck" began Monday and will be tied to the "Click it or Ticket" program.

Ads will be printed in newspapers and public service announcements are scheduled for television and radio during the campaign.

Arkansas, New Mexico, Arkansas and Texas are also part of the campaign.
