Two Louisiana men killed in crash

HENRYETTA, Okla. (AP) Authorities say two Louisiana men died today in a fiery wreck on Interstate 40 in Henryetta.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 24-year-old Anthony Jacobs of New Orleans and 61-year-old Charles Miles Junior of Morgan City died when their tractor-trailer rig ran off I-40, struck a tree and caught fire.

Troopers say Jacobs was headed east on the highway around 6:30 A-M when the truck went into the median, hit a tree, flipped and became engulfed in flames.

The men were thrown from the truck and Jacobs was pinned under the tree until Henryetta firefighters freed him around 8:15 A-M.

Both men -- who weren't wearing seat belts -- were pronounced dead at the scene.
