A Tulsa area automobile technician beat out 30,000 other people to win a national award.

The Automotive Youth Education Systems or AYES named Bradley Cooper of Crown Bristow one of eight national Mentors of the Year. AYES partners automobile manufacturers with local car dealers to provide hands on learning and mentor support for high school students enrolled at Oklahoma vo-tech centers.

Cooper's personal achievements put him at the top of the national mentor's list. "It's gratifying, make something out of themselves, doing it the proper way."

Henry Primeaux of Crown Bristow: "When you hire a young person, train them, loyalty part works."

Cooper has been a part of Crown Bristow for 15 years.
