Tulsa Police investigate the reported abduction of a child

Updated:
Tulsa Police are investigating the reported abduction of a 6 year old girl, taken while playing in the front yard of her east Tulsa home.

The girl's parents told police that around five o'clock Monday, a man drove up to the house in the 7800 block of East 58th Street, while they were working in the backyard. The man somehow convinced the girl to get into his car. She says he drove around with her for awhile caressing her hair and shoulders, then stopped the car a couple of blocks away and let her go.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20's to early 30's, with a medium build, very short dark brown or black hair and a thin mustache. He was wearing glasses and driving a dark green, 4-door; late 90's model Toyota Camry.

Tulsa Police are waiting to interview the girl and her parents to gather more information.
