North Tulsa church helping tsunami victims in Thailand

The generosity of Oklahomans is touching lives a world away. A small church congregation, made up of members with big hearts, is making a difference in the lives of tsunami victims.

Pastor John Gamble of Lighthouse Outreach Ministries in Turley says his recent trip to Thailand was eye opening, heartbreaking, and uplifting. Gamble saw the damage caused by the tsunami. Despite the destruction, the experience gave many victims hope. Six new homes were built in part, because of the north Tulsa church's generosity.

Pastor John Gamble: "To see the people and how grateful they were to have someone come from America, because they love Americans. To see someone come from America to help them restart their life, it was awesome."

"Lighthouse" is now working to support mission workers in Thailand who have plans to build an orphanage. It should be finished in December.
