Bartlesville city council members may consider new dog regulations next month

Updated:
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. (AP) -- City Council members are considering placing restrictions on ownership of dangerous dogs after several dog attacks, including one that sent a woman to the hospital with bite wounds on her leg.

Ming Counterman was attacked Saturday night. A passerby came to her aid and was able to distract the animals.

There have been several dog attacks on young children in the area in recent months.

The Bartlesville city council could vote on dog regulation changes as early as August.
