OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Every charge card used by employees of state agencies will be audited once every three years under a plan announced by the state Department of Central Services

The plan announced department director John Richard comes after a report in The Oklahoman that state troopers used state credit cards for thousands of dollars in purchases, but provided no receipts.

Richard says he's working with state Auditor and Inspector Jeff McMahan to audit the more than 2,000 cards used by employees at 90 state agencies.

The audits won't include charge cards issued to universities because they are exempt by law from being overseen by the Department of Central Services. Charge cards issued to universities include more than two-thousand at Oklahoma State University and more than one-thousand at the University of Oklahoma.
