OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) One kick could cost a Kay County man up to ten years in prison.
Edward McKay King pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter. King acknowledged responsibility for the death of his common-law wife's father in April.
The 24-year-old King says he was upset with Gary Brown on April 4th when the older man accused him of ruining his common-law wife's life.
King says he only wanted Brown to stop talking when he kicked him in the head.
Court papers indicate the blow caused massive head trauma and killed Brown.
King was charged with manslaughter in federal court in Oklahoma City because Brown died on Indian land near Tonkawa.
He faces up to ten years in prison when he's sentenced in about three months.
