TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) _ Gary Hogeboom, a former NFL quarterback who now lives in northern Michigan, is one of 16 contestants in the ``Survivor: Guatemala'' reality series to be aired this fall on CBS.
The network announced the cast last week. The show's season premiere is Sept. 15.
Hogeboom, who turns 47 this month, started 79 NFL games with Dallas, Indianapolis and Phoenix between 1980 and 1989.
He is a Central Michigan University graduate and a member of the university's sports hall of fame. Now a Grand Haven real-estate developer, he is a resident of Leelanau County, the Traverse City Record-Eagle reported.
Hogeboom's children played high school sports at Glen Lake High School, where he served as an assistant football coach.
