A Tulsa domestic violence victim is remembered

Friends and family of a domestic violence victim took time out to remember her 32nd birthday. Carrie Tudor would have turned 32 Thursday. She was killed by her ex-husband inside Lowrance Electronics in February.

Her birthday was marked by five minutes of silence. Her co-workers say they want to continue to honor her by educating others about domestic violence. They say the first step is having the courage to get involved.

Family friend Sherry Clark: "If you hear domestic violence or see it or suspect violence in your neighborhood, police will tell you to call 911. They'd rather come out now and it be nothing than to come out weeks or a year from now to investigate a homicide."

A new program is called FACES. It stands for Families and Communities Empowered for Safety. Founders of FACES want to educate people to prevent domestic violence deaths. To request more information about FACES, you can send them an e-mail.
