A drug suspect is in a Tulsa hospital after he was shot by an off-duty Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper.

Tulsa Police say the trooper was washing his personal car Tuesday afternoon, when he saw three men with some drugs.

The trooper confronted them and according to police, the suspects pulled a gun. The trooper pulled his and shot one of the suspects. The other two ran off but were captured.

Tulsa Police say the suspect was hit in the torso, but we don't have a report on his condition.
